Re: Drexel University-ACE Program Fall '09
.... jrguzman, my understanding is a vehicle is pretty much needed for quarters 2-4 as your clinical locations are potentially - all over the place

The 'attrition rate' of 0.5 seems high (not sure if that is an official stat...) but if you look at ALL college programs in general and especially harder ones...which I believe includes nursing.. there is always a pretty significant number of folks that don't make it for a variety of reasons.. change of goals, family, sickness, financial, grades, etc.
The loans that are available pretty much enable you to take out loans for all of tuition, housing, and books... I haven't heard of any real financial aid awards - just authorization for your to max out your stafford and then take out a private loan for the rest... so I think it's possible to get through financially - it's just gauging whether you think 60k'ish (my estimate for everything....) is worth if for a BSN... then calculate the advantage of getting done 1 year early.. and that provides you RN earning power vs being in school for a bit longer in a standard program.
to each his own
