Re: Current Drexel ACE'rs
Hi Geomar,
I'm sorry to say you probably will not get many responses from current ACE students because we are all busy as hell right now. I'm currently in my 2nd of ACE's 4 quarters and it's already hectic...mind you this is only the 2nd week of the quarter. There was so much more down time during the first quarter. At the time, I couldn't understand why everyone I talked to made the program sound so difficult.
Anyway, my current schedule goes something like this:
Monday & Tuesday:
8:00-9:50 Women's Health
10:00-11:50 Mental Health
1:00-2:50 Adult I
3:00-4:20 Pharmacology
Wednesday:
7 hrs. of Women's Health Clinical
Thursday:
7 hrs. of Mental Health Clinical
Friday:
7 hrs. of Adult I Clinical
Everyone has 3 days of clinical each week during this quarter, but everyone's schedules vary slightly. We all have all of our classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, but clinicals can be any combination of Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The course load is heavy, but manageable. I've been told by many of the 4th quarter students that the 2nd quarter is the toughest of the program...I'm keeping my fingers crossed! My best advice is to study along the way because midterms and finals come up quick. This is only week 2 of the 2nd quarter, but midterms exams are taken during week 5 and finals during week 11. Don't wait until the week before exams to begin studying.
Congratulations on your acceptance and good luck! When things get tough just remember, it is manageable. Many others have survived the program before us!
