Sixburgh - I took the NET at CCAC too and they didn't post my results on CCAC Central or on my transcript.

The admission packet said that there would be a mandatory orientation most likely scheduled for the week before classes start. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to give us much needed information!!

I just found this site, and found this thread. I am at the Allegheny campus, and like everyone else on this thread am waiting for the letter. It does not surprise me that now letters will not be sent out until after Nov. 5th which is after priority registration....I love CCAC.

Do you have a phone number for Melissa at the North Campus?

for nursing courses it does not matter, a nursing advisor has to approve your enrollment. You can sort of plan for the other courses. It is not like there is a ton of choices for lecture. Lab is a bit different and who knows about clinicals.

OMG!!! This waiting is nerve wracking!!! I also applied for spring day program: CALU is my 1st choice Allegheny is my 2nd. I was going to apply for fall of 2010 but I was able to take the net at the of august, so I decided to go for it and apply now. I am nervous about getting in I think that I am somewhere in the middle I scored around 70 on my net and my GPA is 3.0, I have completed my pre req's and most of my classes. I completed a&p 1 and I am currently in a&p2 & math 108 ( all I will have left is micro, 2 englishes & my elective) I am not sure if I will rank high enough to make the cut. I called north campus to ask how many applicants would be accepted at CALU and they told me 80 and then I asked about Allegheny and she said 80 so I am assuming 80 for each which translates into 80 x 5 = 400 applicants accepted ( because of day/evening at both Boyce and Allegheny ) I know that I read on this thread they got about 600 apps. but 20 - 30% are rejected for being incomplete so that drops the number of apps to around 420 - 480 so most of us should get in..........I hope! I did schedule my spring classes just in case I don't get in..........I was sad to hear that they are pushing back notification even more. I think that I will also call tmrw or thursday to see what they tell me I will let u know if they say something different.....Hopefully they will send letters and someone will get 1 before I call...LOL..............Betty BTW I am glad to meet others who are waiting anxiously like me..........

caution with your math...
You can look on line at NRN 101 and see how many lecture seats there are at each campus (CALU was missing last I looked). There is about 90 TOTAL seats per campus (Allegheny and Boyce) and if CALU is 80 then total seats are closer to 260 seats.

We are a bit more than a week away from finding out. Best of luck to all, hope to see everyone here in class!

Thanks for the info, everyone! I called a while ago just to make sure they had my application (because I see that they've "lost" them before) and they told me they had it, but thats all they would say! They need to send the letters out ASAP! This is sloooowwwllyy driving my crazy!! Good Luck to everyone!

Clock Re: CCAC Spring 2010
I feel everyone's pain! I hope somehow posting this will be cathartic - I am so sick of checking the mail constantly. Usually I am fairly calm but this is a life and career altering event. I feel confident in my qualifications (91% on the NET, 3.9 GPA, B in A&P) but I am rather nervous that I missed some paper or prereq in my application. I'm not sure if I can wait until November! I wish I could contribute something useful, but certainly I wish everyone here the best of luck.

I was able to spend some time today with someone in the nursing program. The little I was able to ascertain is the master list has not been generated yet, they expect that list in the next few days. From that list, the letters are mailed out. Each campus is expecting to fill all open seats, there may be a wait list for those who either pass on the seat or do not meet the entry qualifications.

So, you can read into that at your campus, someone in the nursing department will have the master list before the letters are mailed. If you have a relationship with the nursing secretary, you may get an edge and not stress out looking for the mail.
