It's probably determined by those who are already accepted but decide for one reason or another to give up their spot...stay tuned

Yes, Jen2sul I will be starting this fall, and I did have all my classes completed...If they didn't call you this year..just know that if all your classes are complete..then next year will be a go for you..I know it feels a little defeating..trust me I was upset when I received my waitin list letter in Feb, but I had to wait..and in between time I was taking classes at Temple towards my BSN..so don't look at the situation as being defeated, continue to take classes that will go toward your BSN, and at the same time if you are not a 4.0 work on getting there..that way next year the admissions committe will have no choice but to select you..take this time to improve and better yourself..good luck and again..never give up..

I applied to both Abington and LaSalle (for their ACHIEVE program) and was put on the wait list by Abington and then had an interview with LaSalle this past Tuesday and was told I still have three more classes to take until I can be accepted there. I feel like all doors are closing on me. Does anyone know how the wait list works at Abington. They sent me a letter stating that I have to write them asking to be kept on the waiting list and I did, I'm just worried about what happens next. I heard that if you get an interview with them it's a good thing and that as long as your grades are good if you're rolled over it's a guaranteed in for the following year. But I took pre-reqs with a girl that has been rolled over now twice by them??? So I'm worried...and time just keeps going by.

Hey there,

Maybe I can help as I've been in your situation. Abington didn't waitlist me persay, but ppl that have actually finished their prereqs get first dibs. They wouldn't even waitlist you if you didn't have a shot--it's just that they like to see the grades you get in the prereqs--particularly the math and science. So I did get accepted, but gave up the spot to go to the ACHIEVE program. As far as that, you had your interview so that's good...did you take the NLN yet? Don't stress too much. I don't know your particular situation but you have plenty of time to get three classes in between spring and summer semesters. Feel free to send me a pm if you have any more questions.

Good luck!

P.s. Oh and just because you roll over your not necessarily guarenteed a spot. You have an advantage in that all your stuff is probably done and you may have interviewed already so you're ahead of the game. So you'll probably be reviewed by the committee first--but it's no 100% guarantee.
