new to orthopedics

by tlf551

I just started in an orthopedics office this past week. I am scared to death!!! I've worked as a LPN for 11 years in an OBGYN office prior to this. I guess it's just scarey going from one specialty to another.
Any advise? Thanks in advance.

Don't be afraid to ask too many questions and do some reading and research on your own time to learn about this area of the health care field. Good luck!

its always scary diving into something new. like going to another country and knowing some of the lingo, but not enuf to get you by most of the time. lol.. you will do great! do some research, read up, ask questions. never a dumb question.. and if they laugh or get rude or think you should know it cuz you have been and LPN for a long time, ask them how they learned???
