OHSU's Accelerated BSN program 2012 - Page 27
Register Today!- May 21, '12 by smallfry2Yes, and frustrated like the rest of you. Hang in there guys... there's always next year, albeit not as fast as we'd like things to happen. I also applied for Linfield's normal BSN (didn't have pre-req's done in time for the ABSN), and waitlisted there as well... just playing the waiting game.
- May 22, '12 by aprilshower.emmahello smallfry2 and fellow ohsu accelerated bsn waitlisters,
i wanted to share the following email response i received today from ------, ohsu school of nursing office of student affairs. as some of us have predicted...all spaces are full for the oshu absn summer/fall cohorts 2012. this is disappointing yet "we alternates" now have an answer and no longer have to sit in silence wondering:
hi emma,
[color=#454545]we have admitted people off the waitlist and will continue to do so as spaces become available. people on the waitlist can be admitted anytime between now and orientation for the summer or fall terms.
[color=#454545]thank you,

Hello Andee,
Thank you for sharing. I am quite disappointed by the whole process. As well as shocked that certain alternates offered spaces had an overall low GPA and very little work experience compared to others still wait-listed?! I guess its a chance game. I am still hold onto the faint hope that spaces will open for us. Have a great day - May 24, '12 by Andee137I am disappointed as well but I will keep applying until I get in
Good luck to you Emma!

hello smallfry2,
i too wish you the best of luck! faith, optimism and perseverance will always prevail in pursuit of one's dreams!:spin:we will become great nurses! - May 29, '12 by aprilshower.emmaHello,
I am at the point of pure desperation...As of today, May 29th: Is there someone, anyone who might have spoken to OHSU Admission Dept to inquire if they will be offering any new/addtional spaces to the current ABSN alternates still on the waitlist? Please help! Thank you - May 29, '12 by nurse4evI know in my acceptance packet as an alternate, we have to reply whether or not we are accepting our spot with an enrollment deposit postmarked by June 4th. I would imagine only after they have received those letters and deposits will the admissions department know about how many additional spots may be open. I hope this helps!
