Hi, I am looking into starting Sumner RN program in Portland in October 2017. Want to know if there is anyone from Wilsonville or surrounding cities, that will like to carpool to school?

I'm afraid I'm coming from the opposite direction, but I am looking into Sumner's October cohort as well. It's about an hour and a half away from home, and I'm waiting to hear from another program closer to home that I've already applied to. I should hear back by mid-August. I've heard nothing but good things about Sumner. The only downside I've heard is the cost.

I am a graduate of Sumner College. Cost isn't an issue. Yes, it is more expensive than a community college, unless you have to wait 3 years to get into Oregon's oversaturated nursing programs
. However, I can not with good faith recommend the RN program to anyone. The school is unorganized, the instructors are bullies (they are paid $60/hour starting wage and most just read manufacturer slides and leave class early), they offer NO resources, and you have to advocate for yourself the entire way through.

Did you go on to land a good job after? Im trying to find more info on sumner from graduates. Would you have rather done the traditional route instead?
