RN LTC NEW GRAD

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Hi I am new to the area (Beaverton/Hillsboro) and I want to know how much should I expect as a New Grad RN base pay is in a nursing home. As to I want to step my foot forward with preparation to what to expect. I know it won't be of great pay like the hospital. Are there any facilities that are better than others (Staff, benefits, etc)? Any help would be of great appreciation.

Maybe $20-23 would be my best educated guess. I don't know any good LTC facilities either on the west side or anywhere in Portland for that matter. Good luck!

Do you know if this is with differentials for nights and weekends?

I don't know specifically about RN wages, but I had a friend get hired as a brand new LPN grad at a LTC facility and she started at $20 with no experience. An RN position should be considerably higher. I know the hospitals all start at $28-33 around here, so I would think a LTC would be around $25-27. Good luck!

HaHa, sorry usually LTC doesn't pay any type of differential.
