Hi, yes I got in this year. I have tried the PCC lottery for a few years. I knew eventually I would stack the odds in my favor with so many lottery entries.

I tried to send a message on this board but it looks like I have to post 15 times to be able to do that even if I upgrade to a premium membership.

Anyway ivanaBEEaRN I wanted to thank you for all of the information you have given regarding the nursing program at PCC. I had thought I might be able to continue working but after reading your posts I don't believe that will be possible because of the unique employment situation that I have. I believe we work for the same employer, etc. My email is baxter200389@yahoo.com I would love to email you if you have a moment, if you don't have time to email I certainly understand and maybe I will run into you at school........

Yep, I got an acceptance letter. I checked online on 3/20/09 and got the letter in the mail 2 days later.

Disappointed since they are now part of OCNE, but no "reserved" seat to go to OHSU for the BSN.
Are they part of OCNE yet? I thought they had one more year before joining OCNE.

    Congrats on your acceptance!

    Peace,

This is the last year. They were very clear that if we needed to take a term off for any reason we would need to reapply. Next year will be OCNE with a few different prereq requirements.

    Curious Me,
Yes, in Feb 2009 they signed the contracts to become part of OCNE. It will start with next year's applications, but will not include those who start this fall.

Thanks, that's what I thought....was just confused by the statement saying they were part of OCNE, but no guaranteed seat.

I wish I was on the alternates because PCC is so much more convenient!! But I just got accepted into Mt Hood so at least I know I have something, thank God. Hoping for Clark still though!

    Curious Me,

Gosh, I missed that one!! What I meant to say was that at MHCC I get an automatic acceptance into OHSU's BSN program, without having to go through the application process.
But, at PCC, my choice would have to be Linfield.
I wanted to get my BSN from OHSU is all, even tho Linfield may be a perfectly good school, it isnt where I wanted to go.
    Sorry about the confusion!

No worries, congrats on your acceptance! I'm sure Linfield is a fine school, I'm actually just finishing my first year in OHSU's OCNE curriculum and I think it's a great program.

    Peace,
