A&P at PCC/PSU

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Hello all,

I finished a&p1 and am now in a&p2 at PCC. Unfortunately I can't take 3 in the summer so I was thinking of taking it at PSU- the three week accelerated program. Does anyone know if the courses from the two schools translate? Can I mix and match in that way?

Thanks,

Anna

I took all three at PSU, and my Prof was from PCC ----. He used the same syllabus for both campuses, and had recorded lectures on his website.

There are small differences in the lab since PSU uses the human cadaver, but this mainly

affected A&P I for bones and muscles.

There are definitely professors that teach the same class at both campuses just like SVXPORT said, and really the main difference is the use of a human cadaver, so the classes will be structured a little differently. I took A&P at PSU but then had to drop it, and now I'm at PCC. My previous teacher from the A&P course at PSU was my A&P teacher at PCC!

I've heard from those who have taken the accelerated course from PSU to not take any other classes because its so intense, but I guess that also really depends on how you are as a student, and what your life is like outside of school!

Good luck with the course!

Ditto.

Thanks everyone for the insight, I think I'll opt out of A&P and take the accelerated stats curse at PCC instead. The more I look into schools I realize that having all A&Ps is not as important as math requirements when applying. Of course I'll finish them all, I'm just not in as much as a rush as I had originally thought. Anyone taken stats at PCC with -------? Like/didn't like, any advice?

Thanks,

I can't speak directly to any professor there, but I can say I like the website http://www.ratemyprofessor.com I generally found the information there accurate once I read through all the comments.
