Legacy Versant RN Residency - who's applying for this round?

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

This is my third time applying, so here's hoping the third time is the charm. I graduated last June and will be finishing up my BSN at OHSU in June (with a 4.0!) and will have 9 months of home health experience with medically fragile children, so I'm hoping to have some chance this time around. If not, it's great interview experience, right?

Specializes in maybe L&D or NICU.

Waiting here as well...

The dates were Jan. 7th-22nd.

One thing that makes me feel a little more hopeful is that quite a few of my graduating class applied and had first interviews, and no one has admitted to being called back. So, maybe they are just slow...

That's great to know. Its so helpful to read these posts and get input. I would think people would be happy to let others know if they got a second interview. As soon as I know anything, I will share.

Alrighty- two of my classmates got calls from the Family Birth Center at Good Sam for 2nd interviews today. One said it sounded like other hospitals and departments were on their own time schedules.

If we're not out of the game we're still in it, right? :-0

That's nice to hear. Thanks for the update.

Heard from another one today who had his second interview on the 8th in PCU/Cardiology/telemetry.

Dang that really sucks for me. That was what I was trying to get into. I even have 3 months of experience doing nuclear stress testing. My job is to determine baseline EKG and monitor for changes. I'm responsible for distinguishing abnormal rhythms and what not, and I still can't get a call back for the tele floor. This is depressing!

How stressful this all is! Thank you so much for the updates. Any news on the NICU front?

i dont know how many people were interviewed on the 8th with pcu/tele, but i was one of them. i interviewed with the nurse manager (same from round 1), 2 RNs (1 was a former resident), and a CNA. the manager said she'll be contacting people at the end of the month. it looked like they've been interviewing the whole day, and im not sure if they were interviewing on any other days. im hoping to hear back!
