Job Market For Experienced Nurses

I know there is another thread here about the job market, but it seems that's more for new grads. Whats the market like for people with some experience? I have a year in Med Surg/ED. Rural Missouri is killing me.

I don't have any words of wisdom but thought I'd throw this out there:

My husband and I are relocating to Portland end of next month after putting my 1+ year experience in at a hospital in St. Louis. Can't wait to get out of this city/state! We only moved here (from the NE) since it was one of the few places that would hire new grads sans experience and I specifically wanted oncology work.

    Best of luck!

Agency work for experienced RNs seems to be a good route. The process to get credentialed is super time consuming, but agencies like MedStaff Healthcare Solutions do have good opportunity to pick up shifts (great pay too)...
