I have an interview lined up at the end of this week with one of the state prisons in Oregon. I know that Oregon is one of five states that has banned the use of polygraphs for pre-employment screenings in most fields... even some civil service like police. Does anyone know if I will have to take a polygraph to get hired with the state in Oregon as an institution RN?
I've never been arrested or anything crazy like that. But the idea of being strapped down to one of those things is intimidating! Any Oregon Corrections nurses... I'd love to hear from you!

I interviewed at Salem pen a few years ago and they never mentioned a polygraph, I had a few classmates mine who got hired in the state hospitals and they never mentioned having to take a polygraph as part of the interview process
