Hello, all! I'm about to start applying to nursing programs this year. My points are a little low since I do not qualify for any discretionary points (50/65), so I'm trying to determine if it would be worth the cost of the application fee. If any of you happen to check this forum I'd love to hear back. I was wondering if anyone knows what the points cut-off was for your cohort. Does CCC notify you of your final points tally including your interview? What was the minimum number of points required to even get an interview?

Thanks, in advance, and I hope you're all doing well this first term!

Hey there, no we weren't told what our final points were after the essay and interview. I can tell you that I had all A's except one B for all of my 45 credits. I also had all of my pre-reqs done before I applied so I got a few extra points there as well as having all three a/p's done with A's. I recommend taking micro before getting into the program because you have to have it completed by the end of fall term, and you don't want to have to take it on top of the nursing classes. Any other questions?

Thank you for following up with me! I guess my only remaining question would be regarding your experiences during your first term at Clackamas. Good, bad, ugly? I think I will roll the dice and apply even without the discretionary points. It certainly can't hurt to try, particularly since quite a few made it into the program after being placed on the waitlist. Do any of you happen know the percentage of your class that were originally waitlisted prior to accepting a place within the program? Again, thank you for your response! It is greatly appreciated.

I love love love the program! It's a different style of learning for sure but the faculty is amazing and feel very supported. I am not sure about the wait list, I was accepted right away in the first group. I do know that some people were accepted days before we began. Good luck!

Hey, there! Seems like Jason answered most of your questions... Don't let your lack of discretionary points get you down.... It's worth the application fee. Also, apply for more than one school - I applied for 4 and made it to the second round (interview/essay) at three. Accepted at one, wait listed at 2 - got in to my first choice from the wait list... And here I am! First term is nearly done - and, yes, it's amazing and awesome! Best of luck to you!

Hi, sorry to butt in but I am hoping to be accepted to CCC this fall and I was wondering if a colored stethoscope is fine to buy or does it need to be black? Thanks in advance for answering this!
