When is Portland going to hire again

Hi all,
I'm planning to move back to Portland in a month or so.Have to start preparing kids for school etc...after being away for 5 years.I just got my license and am all excited to start working and this hiring freeze is still on,and on,and on.......for how long?????Does anybody know?
What do you all do, while waiting that this hell unfreezes?

I have no idea, but have my fingers crossed that it will unfreeze sometime next summer after I graduate. I would move somewhere else in the country to work, but I am a single mom and need my family support to watch my kids while I am at work. I did hear a rumor that OHSU will start hirring sometime in 2010.
