Relocating: when to find job

How long before you relocate should you start contacting hospitals/sending resume's? I'm finishing my RN in december, hoping to relocate to Corvallis/Albany area, and want to hopefully have something set up by the time we move.... I wasn't sure what normal protocall is since I can't really go to a bunch of interviews before we move, seeing as how I currently live 36 hrs away

When I have gone to rent an apartment or a house or just a room even, they always ask me who my employer is.

I also have found they want you licensed, you can't work as a graduate RN in Oregon unfortunately. But it won't hurt to send out apps. I did as soon as I passed my CPNE had no responses and I just reapplied this week since I just passed my RN on thurs. I live in Salem and am hoping to get an internship position at Salem Hospital in critical care. Melissa, EMT-P, RN
