PMHNP for Portland?

by madglee

Hello,

I am a PMHNP in MO. I have a MSN and am a RN with certification from the ANCC. I'm getting pretty tired of the BOM oversight in MO and remember that I love Portland.

Can anyone give me some advice on a nursing agency or place to start to work in Portland as a PMHNP? I would prefer to go into a private practice group, so if anyone knows of one that is looking, please also tell me that.

Thanks!

You might try getting in touch w/OHSU's PMHNP program and seeing if they can steer you in the right direction.

Actually, Chicago has alot of APN jobs listed. It seems as if they are only hiring APN's these days or nurses with a gazillions years in ICU/CC nursing. I say it with a grain of salt, because the AMA is here and they like to keep a tight leash on APNs. But you should check out Rush, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Illinois Masonic, Lutheran General and the Resurrection System. They all seem to have some APN if not PMHP position open.
Good luck.
