Pioneer Pacific Lpn Program

by Rtkam

I'm thinking of checking out Pioneer Pacific's LPN program ... anyone here graduate from there??

How did you like the program and did you think you were adequately prepared for the real world of nursing?

How are the job prospects today?

Any advice at all?

Do the LPN credits transfer to other RN programs?
I could always go the Excelsior route....I suppose...to pursue an RN and BSN thereafter

I should mention that I have a Master's degree in Communication and want to switch to Nursing... do you think a BSN/accelerated BSN is a better idea?

I am going the ADN or Accelerated BSN route.... where ever I can get accepted first. My reasoning is that it's the shortest route possible to earning my RN. Like most second career people, the less time out of work the better. Depending on the program, you can get extra admission points for having an LPN and your Masters... everything helps when Nursing school applications are due. I'm guessing you didn't take a lot of science, so you may be a year or two out before you apply to Nursing school. I am working full time and taking my pre requisites at night - I've had a few LPNs taking classes with me as they try to get into school. Good luck!

Pioneer Pacific is a good program. I was ready for it though. I had lots of science background and put a good amount of effort into it. Instructors are "newer", as is the program. Best of luck to you.

I was wondering what you decided to do about the Pioneer Pacific LPN program? Did you find out any more info about it?
