If you decide to wait until fall for Micro at Rock Creek, there is a good instructor whose main job is teaching at OHSU and he really knows the material well. He is an old school teacher in that he works off of an overhead but does provides outlines for the notes and good study guides for what is on the test. As far as Micro goes its not hard to get an A in his class.

I think it's worth the drive to Cascade to have one of their A & P instructors! Teaches, quizzes and tests in a way that's applicable. He's accessible, excited to teach and will go all out to help you if you're having any trouble. I loved having him for A & P....the way he teaches really helped me once I got into nursing school as well.

Good luck to you!

I took A&P at PCC Rock Creek, but the teacher I had isn't there anymore, she moved down south to start a PhD program....unfortunate because she was the most fabulous A&P teacher!!

I enjoyed her my biology instructor. Her tests were relevant to the material and she had a lot of interesting input from personal experience; however that was for Biology 101. I've heard that others are a lot harder than she is.

There was one teacher I had for my second term of A&P that I would NOT reccomend!!! Lectures consisted of him going through the textbook and telling us what to highlight (seriously, I don't think he actually ever TAUGHT). His tests were full of spelling and grammatical errors and many of the questions didn't follow a logical thought process. I got an A out of his class and I'm not exactly sure how.

OMG! The instructor for mine absolutely did NOT teach! I felt like I was taking an online course and teaching myself. I ran through several highlighters 'cause all we did was highlight the whole stinkin' book! Avoid him at all cost!

I really liked the instructor for Micro at Sylvania campus. I thought she did a great job explaining things and was very easy to talk to. Cascade campus' instructor for A&P was a great teacher as well. Good Luck!

For Micro - Mine is great. Totally agree.

For AP - My instructor's teaching style was different, yes, and it can be difficult at times, but he teaches you to remember the important stuff. People either love him or hate him it seems, but I loved him.
