Oh, its kind of like LAX, except the D isnt as relevant. Good to know :-)

Since those are OCNE, does that mean I get a BSN from OHSU (is that what my degree would say?), and is it a separate application from the one I already paid $120 for? (Im assuming it is for now.) Because I put down OHSUs Portland/main campus as my choice--I visited and fell in love

Don't forget to apply to the area OCNE community colleges (MHCC and CCC). Cheaper than OHSU for the first 2 years, and same degree. Will PCC be ready this year or next year in 2010?

Oh, I don't know, the D is the end of PortlanD.

If you go to an OCNE CC, you would graduate from that school w/an AD, and be able to automatically matriculate into OHSU for a BS -- i.e. it would be one more year, but you be able to sit for your NCLEX after the CC program.

And yes, you have to pay the application cost and apply separately to each school.

Ah, I see. I'm scrambling to find other schools to apply to, mostly for the ABSN program---I want to do it in as little time as possible, but in a decent program.

I'll keep other options in mind though:-)

Does anyone have any tips/advice for the proctored essay? I have an appointment for 2/15, and the deadline is 2/17. Is that too risky?

I got a call from OHSU today saying I was accepted to their ABM program!! (in midwifery) This makes me so happy! Their program looks incredible! Has anyone else who applied to the ABM heard back yet?

I just turned in my application for the OHSU OCNE program. Good luck to all of you! I am excited to hear when people start hearing back even though it is so far away!

I've applied to OHSU OCNE as well. I can't believe how long we have to wait. We will be out of town when the letters are mailed. My husband has his 8 week Sabbatical and we will be traveling all of May and June. You can bet I'll be calling my neighbor and asking them to open my mail!

I've also applied to PCC. This is their last year of doing the lottery. Next year they will join the OCNE program. I saw on their website they will hold their drawing on March 20.

I think there is a bit of a problem with PCC. So many people are being rejected because of the date of their reading test. I was going to apply there but I took my reading test too late. It all seems really silly to me.

WHAT??? I took my reading test in the fall, so I'm sure I had plenty of time, but why would the test date matter as long as you got all the required documents into the HA office by the deadline?
