Nursing School acceptance and denials. Venting and Pats on the back.

I wanted to start this for all of the oregon pre-nursing students. A place where we can vent about not getting into a school.....or do a jig because we did.

I just got my letter from U of P. I didn't get in. I hope I get into an OCNE school. I'm not too worried yet. If I get a couple more of these letters though I might start pulling my hair out.

oh. sorry i didn't read this before I posted my thread. I'm sorry you didn't get in, but whatever you do DON'T pull your hair our or get discouraged. I am sure you will have better luck with the OCNE schools, and even if you don't, keep trying. To be honest, I had to re-take a few classes so my chances of getting in were higher. It sucked having to retake classes like A&P, but I learned that stuff twice AND i got in to a program. Where there is a will there is a way...You'll be a nurse and you know it. Just be patient. :-D

Best of luck to ya.

Hang in there...it will happen! Another thought. Are you flexible in your living location? Or do you have to stay in Portland? There are lots of schools in WA that are all very good too and some schools accept students 3x/year vs. once like Oregon's schools. Just a thought. I had to look out of the area as I am not a 4.0 and am not competitive for an average of 50 seats amongst 650 applicants! That's the reality unfortunately.

Thank you. I am not really bummed. I do have a 4.0 G.P.A. and still have hope. I can't move...but I have thought of that. I don't know how I would live if I moved somewhere else.
