Not For Profit

by 4jen

Are there any not for profit hospitals in Portland or anywhere else in Oregon?

I am working for a not for profit, teaching hospital in Kansas City and I love it. We talk often about moving the family out to Portland so I wanted to throw this question out there.

Thanks all.

Jen

Yes, there are lots out here. Tuality out in Hillsboro, OR is non profit. So is Providence Health Systems, one of the more major hospital systems in Portland. I'm sure there are more but those are the two that pop into my head (I used to work for Tuality and currently work for Providence).

I just don't recommend moving out here anytime soon, as both of these hospitals have hiring freezes ;o).

Yep I hear ya. We are going through the same thing here. Most have hiring freezes and some are even laying off. Just dreaming of better times.

Thanks for the info.

Oregon Health & Science University is a tertiary care, teaching hospital that is not for profit. It also has a hiring freeze.
