Congrats Amanda! ...here is your first tip, you are part of the "December 2010 Cohort" not the summer 2009 cohort. See you at orientation.

I thought for sure it'd be more like April 23rd, too. I was really surprised when I got a letter. Also, I think being waitlisted is still a really good sign, and I wish you luck.

Thanks everyone for the congrats.

Congratulations to all those who got in!!! I am excited to meet you all.

Good luck to the rest still waiting, and those on the waiting list.

LinfieldNursingGuy, I didn't call my cohort anything, but thanks for the tip anyway.

When we got there we were all "woohoo we're the summer 08 cohort" we were quickly corrected...

It's crazy fast, stressful, lots of reading, and sometimes you feel like you are drowning – even with all of that it hella fun and a great program.

I have a question that I'm hoping somebody out there can answer. I applied for the regular, not the accelerated, Linfield nursing program and I still haven't received a letter. Everybody else on here seems to have, and my friends who applied seem to have, so what's the deal? Anybody have any ideas?

I haven't heard back yet either, but I am out of state and suspect it will take a little while longer to hear. It does make me a little anxious, however, knowing that others have heard and I haven't. Just so you know, my wife also applied for the regular BSN program and hasn't heard back either. We thought it might be because of the distance, but are not sure. I hope we hear soon.

I know it is stressful waiting. Last year when my wife applied to nursing schools OHSU mailed acceptance and wait-list letters out over a few weeks which was quite nerve wracking on everyone. Maybe this year Linfield is mailing them out randomly over a week long period the way OHSU did.

So did nursing school finally help you self diagnose you psychiatric disorder?

Hehe, my dogs Barley and Hops betrayed my identity! Look forward to seeing you at orientation.

I got my acceptance letter today! I made it in for the Fall 2009 start date. I am really excited and can't wait to start.

So can anyone recommend a nice area for housing? We are moving from out of state and are relatively unfamiliar with the area. We really liked the NW area, but are willing to commute a little ways if we have to. Oh yeah, we have an 8 month old lab puppy so it would be nice to find an area that is pet friendly. Thanks!
