Icu/crna job shadowing

Hello all-

I am trying to find a way to get some experience in an ICU. I am currently applying to Nursing Schools. I want to become a CRNA and I know that you must have ICU experience before you are able to apply. My problem is that you can't get into an ICU, especially a new grad, without ICU experience. Is there anything I can do in an ICU that will give me some sort of experience now? I figure that if I am familiar with it now, or if I am able to network, my chances of getting into an ICU will be greater. I am not sure. I am also open to any suggestions if anyone has any. I would also love to job shadow a CRNA, perhaps for a period of time. I would greatly appreciate any words of advice and/or help. Thank you very much.
