Happy Valley

Hi! Happy valley is a nice, quite, upper-middle class area, but the commute to OHSU is pretty long and there is a lot of traffic on the way. Your commute would probably be 45min each way, 30 on a day w/o traffic.

If you don't mind a more mature neighborhood (as opposed to a newer "burb") then I would suggest Sellwood, Hawthorne, and Mt Tabor. These neighborhoods are much closer to downtown. Lots of people bike and/or take public transport to work. Parking at OHSU is a nightmare! OHSU gives employees free trimet (public transport) passes upon hire.
