I'm a RN on a Women's Med/Surg floor and I have been looking into other positions and specialties for the future. One thing that piques my interest has been transplant nursing.
Are there any of you guys experienced or knowledgeable about this specialty? Just wondered exactly what the RN would be responsible for (pre-op, OR, post-op)?

I have been offered a transplant rn job taking care of pre and post op renal patients. I would like to eventually work in a surgical icu environment. Do you think this would be a good segue? Thanks in advance.
