I just wanted to make an announcement!!!! In a week or so I will be the new :redbeatheCV/Thoracic/Vascular:redbeathe Service Leaded in my OR!! :yeah::yeah::yeah:

The only part I'm worried about is the budgeting stuff, but I'm sure I can learn it, none of the other Service Leaders had any experience doing budgets when they took over their positions. I will also be doing the call schedule for the heart team. I'm ready for this, right now some people always get more call than others, the reason being they want more call and some would prefer to as little call as possible (or none). Well I think everyone should start out with the same amount then those that want more can always pick up some extra call from those that don't.

I'm very excited!! :yeah: Wish me luck.

Any suggestions from all of you are welcome............

Oh girl, I am pulling for you! This is a big step. I found that management was more refereeing than anything. I am sure that you will do just fine. People will see you in a different light now and sometimes it is difficult to make that adjustment. It took about a year for me to adjust the filter on my mouth and be more professional.

I think your call plan sounds good.

Congrats to you!
