clinical ladder

I have recently been offered a position in the OR - CVOR to be specific. I have a year's worth of med/surg exp so far. Unlike some nurses who know exactly what specialty they want to work in the future, I am still exploring my niche. All I know is I love my job as a nurse and the OR always fascinated me from the outside.


With other specialities I am familiar w/ e.g L&D, I know after my BSN i can become a WHNP or CNM w/ a Master's degree but with an OR experience, I don't know where the clinical ladder can take me besides holding some administrative positions like Manager, Educator. Please enlighten me what my options are. I would like to plan my educational process accordingly.
