What kind of medication adm course do i need to take?

Hi!

I recently passed my exams for RPN here in ontario. I am now searching for jobs and I noticed that most of the employers are requiring medication administration. A friend of mine told me she was able to take it and get a certificate in a 2 day seminar. In Mohawk the course is over 2 months. So which one should I take? Is the longer course better?

Please help I'm so confused?

If you are a recent grad you don't need to take it because it is part of the RPN education now. It is for RPNs that graduated years ago when medication administration wasn't part of the course and you had to upgrade.

thanks for the reply. I graduated in 2006 and I'm an Internationally educated nurse.
