    Mark,

I'm also at Walden taking FNP. I'm only on my second quarter taking just 5 credits at a time. I love all your post. People think that Walden is easy but it's actually hard and time consuming.
Since you've already taken the specialty courses, can I ask if the assignment writing part ever gonna end? I'm okay with the discussions since it's kinda informal but the long paper is just exhausting! I am not a gifted writer so it consumes my time trying to construct a coherent and gramatically correct paper. I read in your post that there are quizzes every week and discussions in the specialty courses. Are there assignment papers as well? I think my strength is more on quizzes and tests. To me writing is harder than memorizing. I would appreciate every input.

    Thanks!
NO...The writing never ends. The last classes are the worst. You can do it, one step at a time....

I graduated from Walden Feb. 23, took the AANP exam 10 days later without a review course and passed it easily. Walden prepared me well!

Actually, this class is the inaugural class. Last quarter there were a few transfer students who graduated, and I know many of them have passed and only one who has not.....but I do not have any statistics.

    Hi Mark Hill BSN,

Can an individual choose to only go part time (1 class a semester, if they prefer...due to their work schedule?) Thanks.

Yes...but it will take you 3 years to finish. I have a good friend who is doing it part-time.

    Thanks Mark!!
Are you referring to 3 years (part time) if I have an ADN or BSN? Also are there any entrance exams and pre-reqs required for admission for the RN to MSN program (FNP)?
Again Mark, thanks....I am excited already =-).......

3 years part-time for BSN-MSN, longer for RN-MSN...you cant think about the time, just keep putting one foot in front of the other!

The information was incorrect. There are tests in many of the classes.

    Hi Mark,

Congratulations! I am also a student at Walden University. I will start clinicals in June and plan on taking two practicum course at a time. I understand I will have to submit a petition form . My question is what exactly do they want to see on the form? I read from your previous post that you did submit a petition form. What did you write on the section that states "what outcome are you seeking". Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations! You are an inspiration to students who are still in this program and wondering what lies ahead.I am also a student at Walden University. For those in the program...thank you for all this great information. I am 53 and considering this AGNP program. Knowing my perfectionist approach to school I think one course per quarter is all I could handle with a FT job. Feedback on this approach for someone my age? I put this school thing off now I'm rethinking my decision. Thank you for any feedback.
