I wish they were a publicly traded company. We could then calculate what portion of their tuition is Profit.

I am looking at Walden for FNP. To those of you in the program; how did you find clinical locations and preceptors that are required? I seen that you have to give a list of prospects for the admission process and am concerned how to go about finding such locations/persons. Any insight would be appreciated.

I found one preceptor through ENP Network, still working on Women's/Peds. I just look online for local clinics and call or email them. Start looking immediately if you enroll. I got mine for my first clinical a year ahead of time. Had i waited another month i would have lost her to someone else. There is a list of over 200 affiliation sites this school has already throughout the US. Not all are NP sites but they can still be contacted if appropriate. The list you provide in the application upfront is not set in stone; I put down nearby clinics and physician offices. Doesn't mean you have to use them. Well , it was like that when I enrolled. I just looked them up online or the phone book.

Thank you so much! This is so helpful. I am not planning on applying until the beginning of next year, but I wanted to get a head start now so that I can be prepared.

I switched to Walden and absolutely LOVE it. The education has been wonderful, teachers are awesome, advisors are awesome and the work is adequate but not overwhelming. The price is right too. I can't say enough good things. I have completed two classes towards the FNP program and am working on my second quarter.

I am finishing up my last three classes from Walden's RN-BSN program. I am considering Chamberlain for my ANP but also taking a look at continuing at Walden. If anyone who has completed the ANP program could provide feedback that would be very much appreciated.

I don't have any serious complaints about Walden, just some minor ones, like communication with Financial Aid about disbursements and some hiccups about registration. Of course there is always that instructor who takes FOREVER to grade papers (I have one now. It's driving me absolutely batty).

I have learned a lot in a short amount of time but I would like to hear other opinions before commiting to a course of study that will cost a lot of money but might have little to return

Walden's G-ANP program is relatively new. I don't know that they've had a graduating class yet. They offer Adult-Gerontology or Family Nurse Practitioner tracts; I don't know how either one would correlate to Chamberlain's ANP.

Jut took the AANP certification exam 10 days after I finished at Walden, and passed easily with NO review course. Walden prepared me well!
