For prospective applicants for the 2017 year in the program. Being as I am currently wait listed in the 2016 year due to a very late application, there is a high probability I would have to apply again come November 1st 2016 for the following year acceptance.

November 1st, 2016 is the priority application deadline for the 2017 year. All materials (GRE, official transcripts, application payment, letters of recommendation, statement of intent) must have been submitted by this date.

Letters of acceptance for August 2016 orientation and start were sent out the first week of February 2016. Wait listed recipients received their wait list offer in an around the first week of March 2016 with the caveat that seats may open well into late July.

FNP pre-specialty applicant here. I just spoke to Megan at the admission's office today and she informed me that I should hear something "this month," whether it be an admission decision or a request for phone interview. She also told me that FNP applicants have traditionally received phone interviews in the past. I'm so confused.

I applied to the AGACNP with hopes of getting into the intesivist track. March seems so far away, but it is much closer today than it was when I applied. Looking forward to seeing many of you in the general classes next fall should we be so lucky to be accepted. Any other AGACNP applicants out there?

It seams that you and I are about the only AGACNP applicants on the site. Hopefully thats a good sign!

cn4207,

It'd be fantastic if we do hear anything back this month!

On the other hand, based on previous years' threads and discussions, FNP applicants don't typically have interviews. I am also curious to see what other admission personnel would say about the matter, like Bernie, Cheryl, Paddy and etc. I haven't heard about or talked to Megan at Admissions before.

I applied for the AGACNP intensicist track too.

AGACNP here. Haven't heard a peep....I keep checking my application status online in hopes of something changing. Hopefully we'll get news soon.

I talked to admissions and they stated that decisions will be made "no later" than early March. They said you will receive an email notifying you that there has been an update to your application status page. At that point you will log in and view your decision letter. Also, they said FNP typically doesn't interview.

Last year, applicants got their decisions on February 3 so I'm hoping it will be the first week of February again and their answers about late Feb/early March are just their contingency plan. They said the same thing last year as well.

Hi all,

Applicant for FNP/NMW 2017. Although it seems everyone is saying FNP doesn't interview I did do a phone interview - probably from the joint aspect of my application?

So nervous about hearing back - the deadline can't come soon enough.

Yes, she did say dual applicants will be interviewed by both specialties.

Prespecialty PMHNP- did your interviewers mention your chances of getting in? Or have your heard of anyone in the past being told they should expect acceptance during their interview?

Neurograd, I can't speak for PMHNP (midwifery here), but my interviewer told me it was a "good sign" I was being interviewed.

Maybe I should look back in the thread but has any one applying to the FNP specialty heard anything?
