University of Phoenix LPN TO BSN CA applicatns FOR 2012

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anybody has attended to the LPN/BSN program for UOP in California. If so, how difficult or hard is to get accepted in to the program? How long does it take to complete the program? how many days do go to theory a week? How many days do you do clinicals per week and how long are the rotations?

I am hoping to be accepted for fall 2012 and I am going to the info session this coming month. Any information I will greatly appreciate it.:)

Cordially,

Hi Misscandy,

I got an email from the school's lvn-bsn dept. I believe they are only accepting 32 students. I'm not sure really when the others start or if we all start together. But I'm sure you'll hear something from them sooner or later. I pray you do. I also contacted Gina and Heather... but neither of them emailed me of the acceptance, just from their general mailbox.

Hi wose...

Oh gosh thank you for your prayer! I think it really helped, cause I got an acceptance email about an hour ago!

Yeahhh. I'm so happy and relieved. It also says I would tenatively start in Jan. 2013. Thank you for putting up with all my questions, you really helped me get through this. I hope that we can continue to stay in contact. If it is ok with you I will send you a friend request so we can exchange email addresses if your ok with that?

Been thinking about quik248 and Really hoping something works out so they can start in Jan. as well.

Take care and thank you again, hopefully talk to you soon :)

Hi misscandy,

your welcome and no problem at all and I've already accepted your as my friend so we can exchange email addresses.

As for quik248, I'm sorry that you did not get in. I'm sure you'll be a good candidate for next semester, better yet, something better might fall into place. Maybe Holy Names? Have you tried applying there. No worries, you have a goal and you will get there.

I am looking at UOP for LVN-BSN program. Was wondering how the program is and if any of you have graduated if you have had any problems finding a job with your schooling from UOP in california.

I start in March & will take I think 3 classes before I join my graduating class. I was told I can expect to enter the core nursing classes in August 2014.

I spoke to U of P in California an they said u cannot sit for NCLEX after Lvn to BSN!!!! Is this true??????

Not sure who you spoke to, but if you successfully pass the program and graduate, you should be able to take your NCLEX exam to get your license. They are approved on the California Board of Nursing, so I don't know who you spoke to that would have said that. You do have to be an LVN already to go into their LVN to BSN program though. I think if you are already an Associate degree RN going for your Bachelors thru them, you obviously do not take your NCLEX exam again if you are already a licensed RN. You would be obtaining your BSN degree.

Maybe that's what they were trying to say. But they only offer the LVN to BSN program in 4 States that I'm aware of:California, Colorado, Arizona, and Hawaii. and the only place in California it is offered is in Salida, California.

Hope this helps!
