Anyone else applying to UNF accelerated/traditional BSN for summer 2015? I'd love to talk to anyone about the application, TEAS, stats, interview, etc. I'm already getting pretty antsy about the whole application process!

Hi, glad to know i'm not the only one already starting to plan for the 2015 applications! I am considering UNF on my list of schools to apply. I am originally from Jax (grew up there) and live in Tampa right now but I am keeping my options open. I have a bachelors and masters degree. I would be applying for the ABSN program! I just ordered by TEAS book and I am going to start studying after my A&P final tomorrow lol Planning to take the test in August before fall semester (last pre-reqs, yay!) starts up. Have you taken the TEAS yet? How do you feel about the in-person interview?

Nice! Where else are you looking? And I'm assuming you are a social worker, that is what I got my undergraduate degree in! Looks like we're in good company :) And where did you go for undergrad/grad? Just curious if you went to FSU for either degree.

I am so ready for the pre-reqs to be over and to just start nursing school! I have not taken the TEAS just yet, I am hoping to take it late September/early October depending upon how ready I feel... I really want to only take it once. And the interview I am already so nervous about! I have been reading everyone's posts from years passed and it definitely seems to make or break your acceptance. I'm just trying to focus on getting to that phase of the application process lol.

Yup, im a social worker! Happy to meet another. I went to UCF for my BSW and then NYU for my MSW (I was lucky enough to get an academic scholarship). When I worked at St Vincents Riverside I worked with quiet a few people that graduated from FSU because they also have a campus in jax that offers the MSW.

Agreed about getting pre-reqs over! I have been working professionally the last couple years so getting back into the groove of school this summer was interesting but now i'm excited to see what happens. I had to take 2 classes in the summer and have 2 in the fall. I just signed up for the TEAS August 25th and got my study book... but I need to open it lol. I was reading old posts too and its so overwhelming to think how they determine who they accept. They only accept 27 for the ABSN and that is so intimidating!!!

Almost finished with summer pre-requisites... tomorrow is actually the last day for me, woo hoo! And I haven't opened my TEAS book yet, dreading that lol let me know how you do! I am really nervous about it... And I know, only 27 people is SO nerve racking! I am especially nervous about it because UNF is the only school I know I am going to apply to for sure. I am undecided about UCF because they consider the overall GPA and when I went to an informational meeting they were saying people have 4.0 in pre-reqs and average like a 3.7 overall GPA, which I definitely don't have. I don't know if it was just to scare us or what?

I am thinking about applying to UNF however I have read in the previous year's post that is is an extremely competitive program to get into. I have an overall GPA of 3.6, a science GPA of 3.76 and 91% on the TEAS. The statistics for 2014 were quite high.

Hey everyone! SO glad to have found this thread. I took my TEAS exam today and just could not get this off my mind. Im planning on applying to the Summer 2015 program at UNF and am curious with where everyone else was at. I currently have a 3.6 prereq GPA and am hoping to at least keep it there by the end of this semester (Fall 2014). As a result of a last minute decision, I took the TEAS exam this morning. I did not study and simply signed up to at least get a feel for the exam and see what I need help on. I scored an 85.3% (a 351 on UNFs scale). I was hoping I could get some feedback and see where everyone else is standing? Thanks! And best of luck to everyone.

Really glad to see there are a few more of us out there! I keep reading through the past forums and this seems like a really useful communication tool. Does anyone know how to send in our TEAS scores? I know it says by fax or email to the SON but does ATI do that or do we? I'm just trying to gage how long it will take for the scores to get there, like if there is any processing time or anything like that.
