Hello DreamBig!
At what point would we apply for the Nursing First Program? After gaining acceptance into Suffolk's nursing program?

Hi!
Yes, you would have to be accepted first. Then there is an orientation for the Nursing First program, where you can apply.

Good luck everyone! What did you guys calculate your rubric scores to be? I'm applying for ammerman day program and taking the teas on Friday
Shannon Davanzo,
Good luck on your TEAS! Same goes for everyone who will be taking it soon. I'm not sure if I calculated my rubric score correctly, but 82.25/100.

I am! Took my TEAS last Friday. 90 overall:
Reading 85.1
Math 100
just missed the 91 cut off but hoping for the best, Grant campus first choice. have transfer credits only as got my BS back in 1989! Taking A&P starting this semester, along with 2 history classes. I think it's crazy the Teas is so heavily weighted. Did anyone attend the info session where they said the TEAS is really the only thing that matters?
Wow you guys have amazing scores, congrats! I attended that meeting as well. I can't believe it either. The teas is 75% of the rubric and breaks any rubric score ties.
My rubric score is 74.25. Fingers crossed it's good enough!

Hey all, just submitted my app. Grant is 1st choice, Ammerman second. I just took my TEAS today and got a 90, all prereqs are done (except Micro) with As and two B+. My rubric score is 83/100 - is this good?
The proctor at NCC, where I took it, said that apparently most schools will be dissolving their AAS in Nursing programs by next year - at least Nassau will. So this may be the last chance anyone in NY has to get an AAS in Nursing, if what she says is true. I feel like I woulda heard more about that, though.
Wow that's crazy if it's true. It's hard and competitive enough getting into nursing school in the first place. I guess they're really pushing for people to go straight for their BSN.
Heylo!
I haven't logged into My SCCC in a while, but does anyone know if there's a way to check what application requirements were received (transcripts, TEAS etc)? Or is our only option calling?
And did everyone do okay on their TEAS?
