Regis College Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys,

I was recently accepted to the Direct entry MSN program for family nurse practitioner at Regis College and I had a couple of questions regarding the school and I was hoping someone at allnurses could shed some light about the program.

First Question is How much is the total cost for the family nurse practitioner program?

Second Question is there any scholarship available that I can get?

Third Question, does regis help you find a preceptor or do the students have to find their own?

Fourth Question, are the professor/clinical instructors out there to help the students or do you have to do everything on your own?( I heard a lot of negative feedback regarding this topic and i just want some clarification)

If someone who attended this school can answer these questions and if they can also give their review about the school/program I'll greatly appreciate it.

Thank you guys

Hello again, Balanurse22! I think the waitlist works like most other waitlists where they email you the final word around summer time when most students have responded to their admission letters. Best of luck to you!

Just received an email regarding a phone interview! Can anyone please tell me how their interview went and what sort of questions were asked? Thanks :)

I also just received an email for a brief phone interview. Would be interested to know the types of questions they will ask. Also, does anyone know if they extend these phone interview invitations to every applicant, or only those who have been selected based on an interest in their application?

Based on my interview today, they said that they interview pretty much everyone. Mine was really short, I was surprised. Idk if that's a good thing :/ They have a quick turn around so maybe I'll be hearing back next week regarding a decision.

I just had mine today as well, very short, I'm talking less than 5 minutes. Maybe 3 questions asked, and I also asked a few. They review applicants on an individual basis so he said I should have a decision within the week! Nervous.

Does anyone know how we find out our decision? Email or mail?

I had my interview last Monday, just over a week ago, and I'm just waiting to hear back now. The woman I spoke to told me the decision would come two weeks after my interview but some people are saying they were told it's only one week?

I just received my acceptance via email this morning! I had my phone interview Friday. Only downside is that like many others have mentioned there isn't much time to find out from other programs. My deposit deadline is 2/5.

congrats! I just found out i was accepted today too! I was thinking of calling other admissions offices to see when we will be finding out because February 5th isn't a lot of time.

Me too. I'm still waiting on Simmons, which judging by last years decisions could be any time now, and MGH, which I'm worried won't be until after the deadline passes.

I called a couple Boston schools today about deadlines here's what they told me for the direct entry nursing programs:

BC: we will hear back before Feb 5th, probably around the end of next week (Jan 26th)

MGH: They have the two deadlines, so you expect to hear back 8-10 weeks after your deadline. For the Jan 1st deadline applicants, we will hear back mid March

Simmons: I asked about February 5th and they said it isn't likely that we would know before then, now its more like mid February. They also said when the Feb 5th deadline comes up to call again to see if theres any new developments before you put the money down on Regis

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! I talked to Simmons as well and they said mid feb- early March the latest. A little disappointing because I'll probably have to put my deposit down for Regis anyway.

I applied to Regis only 3 days ago for the Feb 1st deadline I guess. How long do you think it will take to hear? Has anyone else waited to apply?
