Nova Southeastern University BSN Entry Level Fall 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone!

So I guess im the first to start the thread for Nova's Fall 2014 admissions. I put in my application about 2 weeks ago, and actually did my prereqs here as well. I am still in the process of completing Micro and A&P 2. I am VERY nervous about the admission process because my GPA is not as high as what im seeing on this site.

Thoughts?

So I just got a call from Andrea about my interview from this past Monday. I have been accepted into the Fall 2014 start at the main campus! Of course I still need to pass micro and A&P this summer but there is no way in hell I will be messing those classes up. So hopefully others have or will be getting their notifications here shortly. Again, if anyone has any questions about the interview/test day or what have you, feel free to ask. I am sure others, as well as myself, on here will be more than happy to answer them the best that we can.

Hi TheFenz,

Has your VIP status online changed? Mine still states "your application has been received"

Thanks.

It has not updated yet. Just have the phone call from Andrea so far.

I know it is a long shot but any veterans here? So far it has been difficult to connect with my younger classmates, moatly because they are immature and unmotivated. I am almost positive my fellow class of 2016 nurses will be different, just curious if any of them are vets. Either way, I am looking forward to meeting my fellow nursing hopefuls.

I'm not a vet but very mature... I will probably be the oldest out the group... LOL...

Hey guys, I have my interview tomorrow and I am freaking out.... I am afraid if I won't have answers for what they ask, and I will blank out.. I get really nervous in interviews and stuff like that... Can anyone say how their interview went? Nova is my first choice.. I would really like to get in... Thanks and congrats to those who got a response.

It is a super informal interview. The only question that was a solo answer was tell us about yourself. Other questions were a discussion between the four of us who were being interviewed at the time. Have a question or two ready for the end to ask them.

VIP updated on Friday.

I feel the same way. I'm not a vet either but I'll be leaving my twenties during the first semester of school. I do believe that one of the main things that they observe during the interview is the level of maturity the applicant has. Hence the group interview and scenarios. A lot can be observed in just those 30 minutes, how well you work with others, what you have to offer and your level of maturity.

We we shouldn't worry so much about that anyway. I'm sure once we begin we will find a group that we connect with and everyone can bring something positive to the table.

Im super excited and motivated! Congratulations to all that have been accepted!

I'll hit 30 during the semester as well. I have the expectation that the nursing group as a whle will be a more mature bunch then your typical underclassmen. With the work of getting into the program, I can't imagine there being too many unmotivated people. I only asked about vet as that would be an added bonus. Either way I am looking forward to starting and hopefully finding a good group of people to study with.

Well I was accepted at the Kendall campus, Andrea confirmed it as long as my last pre-req. (DEP2000) was complete this semester. So I am 35 and this is obviously a career change for me, I may as well be the oldest in my class lol — people usually don't believe me when I tell them I'm 35. I think almost any professional program will have weeded out most of the immaturity through with the entire process, that or it sure will once you get a load of the work you need to put into it...

Congratulations to all of you who were admitted!

Just did my interview.... I don't think I did so hot in it. All I have to do left is take the Kaplan. I'll keep you guys posted but I don't feel too confident about it :(
