Hi All,

I just received news that I have been accepted into Northeastern's Direct Entry online accelerated nursing program. I am wondering if anyone else is also in the spring 2014 cohort? Just thought I would get a thread going to communicate details such as living arrangements, loans, what to expect etc.

NS14: Congratulations!!!!! Oh, so they have all specialty tracks for the hybrid?

NS14: I spoke with my advisor on Thursday. She told me 72 are accepted into the hybrid program, that's including the people who originally applied to the hybrid and the applicants they moved over from the regular direct entry program. Anyone get any news today?

An advisor called me today asking me to send proof that I completed a class in order to finalize things. So I order the transcripts from the school. I can't wait to get it over with!

That's awesome, I feel like that's a good sign for you! So do you know of we get to pick our specialty after the bsn portion of the program? I am a little confused on that aspect, and I am reading mixed reviews!

She actually didnt give me a time frame. I need to submit the transcripts first. They are not ready yet, which is driving me insane!!! Some schools are so slow!! Did you hear from them yet?

Regarding the specialty tracks, I asked her about that and she said they will soon change the website, because it's a little misleading. We are automatically enrolled in the Management track, but we can sit with the director of any specialty to discuss what to do in order to get into that specific specialty track.

I feel like it all depends on how well you do. I also think that in order to pick another specialty, we need to work for a while after we complete the bachelor's portion, not only six month like it is for the traditional direct entry.

Haha yes we will have to! I love the confidence! It's weds night and I still haven't heard. Hopefully we Will hear by Friday. I have been stalking my email, and it's driving me crazy lol!

I know how it is!!! I was checking my emails and my phone every fine minutes before I actually herd from them. And I still have to submit my transcripts and wait some more!!! Urgh!

Why don't you give them a call? Do you know the name of the person who called you? Just end this suspense!! I am getting nervous for both of us now! Too much for my poor little heart! lol
