Merritt College Fall 2014 Applicants

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello!

Haven't seen a thread yet about Merritt Fall 2014, so I figured I'd start one. Has anyone heard whether they've passed Phases 1&2 of the app process yet?

And for the meantime, if you're like me and didn't know what your chancellor's score was, this site has an excel doc that will calculate it for you :) http://nursing.yccd.edu/chancellors-formula.aspx

Are u going to Napa? I live in Oakland so that is why I apply for Merritt College.

I received an acceptance letter today. I will not be attending Merritt so hopefully someone will be able to take my place. This is also my first time applying but I was lucky enough to get into a prestigious school. I did want to merrit for the location but I am very uneasy about the representation of the school. Good luck everyone!

I received an email today that I was accepted as an Alternate! I'm happy that you will be giving up a space Jayllenn, because it could become mine. Fingers crossed! Extra good luck and fortune to you for your acceptance to your preferred college. :) :)

Hi Cristina,

Do you know how many Alternates they have on their list? Do you have a sense of how many Alternates got into the program last year?

I'm excited about the Orientation on Monday! I hope that I get into the program :)

Last year they accepted all alternates right away! May have changed... but you have a great chance!

Also, we will be selling used books at the orientation on Monday. They range from $5-$50 depending on the book. We will also be selling water, bananas, and muffins. ;) can't wait to meet you guys! I remember the exact feeling of excitment last year!

Tell us more about which books we need to buy? And what kinds of classes we need to choose? Thank you Cristina417!

Thank you, Cristina, for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm looking forward to Monday!

There are tons of books you need to buy. You can buy them separate or in a bundle that they will talk about tomorrow. Also, you don't choose any classes. The school does it for you. You will be registered for fundamentals, drug dosage, and law and ethics... Fundamentals is a huge class though. Almost four days a week

and a physical assessment class... if all is the same. :)

Can you send me your email address by emailing me? [email protected] Thanks!
