Kennesaw State University ABSN Fall 2014

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey everyone,

I haven't seen a thread for those of us applying to KSU'S ABSN (or even traditional) program and thought I would start one. I am taking the TEAS pretty late (early January) and will have most of my pre-reqs done by December, but I'm pretty nervous. I have around a 3.5 from my bachelors degree at UGA and will probably end up with around the same in pre-reqs. It seems pretty competitive so not sure of my chances! Hope I can blow the TEAS out of the water. :)

If I did my researching correctly on here, applicants were hearing pretty late last year, like late April and May. I hope they can end the suspense a little earlier this year!

Anyone else applying?

I haven't taken mine yet but I found the class I am going to take online. You can look up Ga CPR and it's the BLS for healthcare provider class. They offer them Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays every week.

I'll probably check to make sure it meets the program requirements, but thanks! :)

I asked the nursing office secretary about orientation, and she said that we should get emails regarding orientation around mid-June.

Hey guys! My brother-in-law is a CPR instructor. He is willing to teach a group of us and get us certified. Any body wanna join? Anyone know of a good place we could get together as a group?

I think the orientation email says that online CPR classes don't qualify. That sucks.

Anyone having any luck searching for book rentals online that are fairly priced?

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to meet y'all on Monday! I don't know is everyone has taken their cpr class but I took one on Tuesday and it was great! It was on Moreland ave and was supposed to be 9-1 but finished around 12. The instructor used a video and we practiced a lot on mannequins. If anyone is interested I signed up at gacpr.com and Elliot is haven't even began looking into textbooks but don't we need to keep our books for later vs. renting them?
