info on carrington in phx az

I am preparing myself for a nursing degree and considered taking pre reqs md co reqs through estrella cc then transfer to carrington to get adn so thecost and time to completion would be less. I never see posts on carrington so I thought I would ask.

I also m considering just jumping into carrington and paying the tuition and just being done with it... But I know I won't get Pell money so I'm not sure if I would have monthly payments in school. :)

I'm new to the area so I don't know anything about Carrington. I just know most people probably just stick with the community colleges and try and do their CEP program. It cuts down the time to get into the program once you have their pre reqs done.

Carrington college is not regionally accredited which means none of your coursework would transfer if you ever decided to continue your education.

They actually just gained regional accredited for the program and their rn program program is accepted to most colleges that offer rn to bsn. I'm not worried about accred...they cannot offer the program unless the state approves the coursework and program as a whole.

The state definitely approves their program for purposes of licensing but that has nothing to do with whether the credits will transfer or not. Last I checked they were not regionally accredited, but you said they are now. I would just look into that to be sure. The last I saw on the az BON website had them as nationally accredited along with the likes of Brookline etc and states exactly what I did that credits are unlikely to transfer anywhere else. This is just what I remember from looking into it on my own.
