Grand Canyon University Fall '11 HOPEFULLYS!!

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I just got done applying for GCU's fast track program to start this Fall. I'm hoping I get accepted so that I can start but might have to wait till Spring '12.

Please let me know if you hear anything back from GCU about acceptance :coollook: or denial :crying2:

GOOD LUCK to everyone........:yeah:

Yes I had a C in bio 202. My overall gpa was still a 3.5, decent teas scores, and I had a previous degree so I am not sure how much all that together helped, but I did have a C. You should be fine!

Got my appointment Thursday with Finance Counselor and Academic Counselor to go over financial aid and hopefully register for fall.

Wish me luck!

I got an email today telling me there might be a couple different schedules out for Fall..... First come first serve.

Are any of you starting out taking classes at John C Lincoln?

I am! Its going to be over an hour commute for me..but I'm excited!! And Im excited to have a schedule!

Is it where you're going to be permanently? Or is your program just starting out there?

The first 5-8 weeks are there, then its back to At Still University in the Mesa/Gilbert area, for the remainder of the program

Ok that's what I thought, I've been taking classes there since the beginning and I didn't think that they were sending anyone else through. I don't think AT Still is ready yet though so that makes sense.

I'm going to the AT Stills campus as well :) Does anyone know what the orientation is going to be about on the 9th? They originally told me that it would be on the 16th and then changed it and I will be out of town. Thanks

Specializes in Pediatric, ED.

The orientation on the 9th, I believe is going over info on the books we need during level 1, stethoscope and scrubs. We also have another orientation scheduled that is program specific when you will meet your cohorts and instructors, I am guessing. :) Did you get the email with list of books and info on stethoscope? That should help you get started on the books you need. :)

Just to make sure I read that email correctly…the orientation on the 9th from 9-1 is for everyone who is fast track @ GCU. Then the AT Still group has their orientation right after, @ John C Lincoln from 1-4?? So we'll drive from GCU right to John C Lincoln? I was originally told AT Still would have theirs on the 16th. Hmm...

I was told that too. Thats why I planed my trip so I would be back in time. Then I get the email where it is now on the 9th and now I'm having to e-mail everyone to make sure that I'm going to be prepared on the 29th. :(

That's weird. I wonder why its all the same day!? Did you get the email about the schedule? It's not too bad.. It is going to be the longest drive in the mornings though that's for sure. I haven't ordered the books or scrubs yet because I heard to wait until orientation? Should I go ahead and get everything or just wait? Stresssful!
