Hey Everyone,

I'm not new to this site, just new to actually joining and posting my own story since I myself am finally able to began the application process of applying to Wake Tech next Fall. Anyone else out there applying?

I am! I just need to take the CNA state test (as I moved from Connecticut) and finish up the last of my pre-reqs this fall and submit my application!

Cool beans girl. I have to retake micro as I withdrew from or last semester trying to maintain my B average in Bio 169. I also need the teas and would like to score at least a 91 percent or above for 20 points. How about you have you taken the teas yet?

I'm taking micro this semester as well as Develop. Psych and retaking Nutrition (because it's been too many years). I took the teas twice in Connecticut (the higher the score - the better your place on the accepted list). I didn't hear about this new point thing until today (I did my info session back in November), can you share with me the new rules?

Well come Fall 2016 for this applicants and any after, it's 20 points for 91 percent or above, 12 points for 81 or above and only 6 for 71. Before it was a wopping 50 pointd. I'm taking nutrition online again to see if I can get an A I got a B in the class year

Apparently now it's only good for 3 years (instead of 5), so I have to take them again anyway. :( (I had an 88), guess I'll be studying for it as well. I thought you couldn't retake classes? Doesn't really matter to me, but I was told they'd only take the first grade, did that change?

Hey Samantha, I was told recently the same as you by Beth at Wake Tech. The first grade is indeed the one that's accepted so guess I will stick with my B. I do however need to still take Mircro as I withdrew from that course. She said possible 2017 applicants can take a class over, but the latest one will be accepted. So if its a D the second time around and you had a B, then the D would be the grade taken.

I'm assuming you all received the same email as I did a few days ago? If not I can repost, but it addresses all the changes they're making to the admissions. Luckily most of it doesn't really go into effect for a few years.

Cool beans I officially dropped my nutrition since I got a B and will have to keep that. Now I can focus on micro alone. Has anyone just challenged the cna exam

I have a million questions. First, congrats to everyone for getting into the program. This has been the biggest challenge for me. I am an older student that started from ground zero. I'm finally into the last few semesters. I'm currently taking Bio 168 and love my professor. He is unsure about teaching 169, so which is better Furbish or Daniels? Also, did everyone have all A's that applied? I'm forty five and pushing myself so hard. I was told by an advisor if you don't get A's really not a good chance you will get accepted. I'm looking to apply July 2016. I'm super excited!!! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I sooooooo do not have all A's and the two people who I know were accepted recently did not have all A's either. It was all B which I have as well. How about you?

So far all A's and one B in psychology. I'm just starting Bio 168. Who was your teacher? When are you planning to apply? I'm hoping for July 2016. It's exciting and scary all at the same time. I wish you the best!!! Any advice you have for me.
