Hi all! I am applying to CSN in Aug. for the Spring 2018 class. I just wanted to start a post to help answer questions and compare profile scores:) Does anyone know what the last application cut off was?

Yes it wont!

I'm not sure about the pass/fail grades. Maybe Mrs. Thornton would know? I think theres a group advising session this week.

Hi yall I am also applying for Spring 2018.. I have 65 points on my assessment sheet. Retaking the hesi and hopes of bumping that up before I turn in my app. I have all my prereqs complete, I am excited and nervous

When are you retaking it? I have a 65 also! I really want a 70 profile score at least. 65 was the cutoff last time I think.

Hey! Are you guys filling in the bottom part of the profile sheet (where it says academic scoring/recommendation)? Normally when there is a page break like that it says "for office use only" or something, and the reviewer writes there- but it doesnt say that here. Just curious!

I left mine blank for that part! Bc I would definitely recommend myself haha.

So, I've been reading the packet instructions over and over again to be sure I have everything correct. Naturally, I developed another question. It says to have all official transcripts included in the application- does that mean included in paper form in the application packet? I had all of my transcripts sent and Ms. Thornton confirmed that she has all of my transcripts in the office; so, do I still need to include them in the packet?

(I would email Ms. Thornton but I've already emailed her a lot and this question is kind of redundant!!) Thanks you guys!

Retaking it Monday the 1st.. I`m hoping for at a 75 or higher to get the additional points to get me to 70

I just came across this post and thought I'd share my insight! I am also applying for Spring 2018! I applied to get in for Fall 2017 and did not get accepted because my profile score was too low (45). I met with the advisor and she told me that if I would have had a 65 I would have gotten in. I am retaking the HESI as well to hopefully get a higher score, I also got an 82 my first time and am hoping to at least get an 85 this time! I wish you all the best of luck! :-)

I just took the HESI today to finish up my CSN application for Spring 2018 - and it went really well! I basically had to speed to the testing center from the CBD because I was at work most of the day.

I got a 95%: 92 in bio, 100 in A&P, 96 in math, 96 in vocab, and 94 in reading comprehension and 94 in grammar. THAT BEING SAID, if you want to get your HESI grade up, I would definitely get this book to prepare. The material in the book is largely what's on the test. I honestly was so scared of bio (I hadn't taken a real bio class in YEARS - I took BIO 251/253 over the summer), but the little short chapter in that book on bio helped SO much.

Does anyone know where we have to bring all of our application materials once the dates roll around?

You bring your application directly to Charity! Make sure you have everything that's needed or they will turn you away and make you come back! And also make sure your student ID number is in the top right corner of every single page!

Also I have a question maybe someone on here can answers regarding the assessment review form. Under the CSN Curriculum Required Relate & General Education Courses” section, would I receive the points for both of those things if I have completed all of my A&P's, English 101, and Math and also have completed all CSN curriculum courses except nursing courses for a total of 25 points? Or do you only receive points for one or the other?

I am pretty sure it's one or the other. 10 pts for English/Math/A&Ps, 15 pts for Micro/Psych/English/Math/A&Ps, etc.

It is one or the other, you only get one set of points for each section.

@becky504 thats an awesome HESI score! I just retook it and was able to get an 89, I had an 83 before but really needed the extra 5 points. So now I have a 70 profile score. Im really hoping thats enough.
