BSN programs in TX that DON'T look at cumulative GPA

  1. Hello all!

Seeking info from people who know of any BSN pre-licensure programs in Texas that only look at nursing core/science and math pre-reqs, etc.

Long story short: went to Texas State for 3 semesters, managed to get a 1.8 GPA (luckily didn't do any of my sciences because I was undeclared at the time). Fast forward to right now- at a community college over the past two years, I've gotten an A in every single class I have taken: anatomy, physiology, microbiology, statistics, intro to chemistry, nutrition, lifespan development, philosophy, humanities, speech, critical thinking and composition, general psychology, sociology, and more I can't think of right now.

If I were to take my cumulative GPA, I believe it would be at a 3.4 or 3.5.
If I were to take only my sciences, I have a 4.0.

I know schools like Texas Women's University and Western Governor's University look at only your "nursing core" (or however else they word only looking at specific classes) and those are the schools that I'm applying to. However, I'd like to apply to more than just two in case some credits don't transfer or some other unforeseen circumstance.

Not interested in private colleges or ADN programs.

Any insight would be helpful! Should I go ahead and apply to the programs in which I've fulfilled all the requirements, even if they also look at your cumulative GPA? Also, please suggest any Texas programs that only look at sciences!

Thanks in advance. I take the Teas 6 this Saturday June 17 and will update this thread with my score!
