Brightwood SD LVN or ADN 2017 Start

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi, anyone looking to apply for Brightwood SD (aka Kaplan) LVN (Jan 2017) or ADN (March 2017) programs? I finally decided to attend nursing school after several years of being a WAHM. I kept putting off nursing school, simply because it's competitive (my grades are ok-lol), extremely long waitlist (CC, etc..) and was very skeptic about attending Kaplan (years ago), plus I gave birth :). Flash forward 5+ years later, I feel liked I wasted my time and now have regrets. I wish I would have chose (Brightwood) Kaplan years ago, only because the desire to become a nurse-never went away. So I'm officially recommitted to the process of becoming a nurse-it's so draining! Anyone looking to apply soon to Brightwood (Kaplan) SD? Sorry for the typos :)

Are starting the program in February?

Going to talk to them this week about hopefully starting ADN on March 17. :D

I started the process after 10 years of being a medical assistant. very nervous and scared of the unknown but I am ready

planning on starting 6/2017 the lvn step up rn route.

I'm in your same boat, I've been trying to apply to programs but with us moving and all the California wait lists I've now decided it's time to try here at Brightwood. My cousin is in the LVN program here now and she likes it a lot. I've also met some other ADNs who went threw this school and have great jobs! I'm going to be taking my wonderlic and Hesi next week (march 1st) and I'm nervous but ready.

I'm glad to hear I am not the only one!!

I have an apt tomorrow with Admissions to get started on the Application. I already took both tests and passed. Hopefully to start on June for the LVN-step up RN, maybe we will be in the same class. :)

would be great to keep in contact!

I'm taking Both tests this upcoming week and I'm super nervous about the wonderlic and Hesi. How were the tests? Anything. I should focus on more to study? That would be awesome if we were in the same class, I've been trying to get in other schools but it's just so dang competitive.

Hello everyone, what are the prerequisites needed for the lvn to rn program at brightwood? Thank you
