Baylor Spring 2019 Applicants

Students School Programs

Published

With the application deadline around the corner (May 31, 2018) I thought it would be fun to get a role call started.

  • What are your stats?
  • Are you also applying for the May 2019 Fast-Bacc? (Application opens in June 2018)

I am applying to both programs with a preference for the Fast-Bacc if given the choice.

  • Science GPA: 3.8 (B in Micro lecture, but A in lab. A's in all other science courses)
  • Overall GPA: 3.9
  • HESI: Scheduled to take in early April. Will update with scores once received.
  • Pre-reqs remaining: World Religion (taking Summer 1 at Collin College & Bible (taking New Testament during Summer 2 at DBU)

Hello! I'll be applying to the fastbacc program. My stats are

3.75 science

3.67 nursing gpa/pre-req

3.4 previous degree

89 HESI

My HESI is from 2016 and I'm not sure if they want me to retake it so I emailed the school. I'm also applying to UTA and they said I didn't have to retake it so they are using that score. Either way I'll find out soon! Uta has been my first choice but now I feel I'm leaning more towards Baylor.

Those are great grades, congratulations!

I was told the FastBacc application will open on CAS in early June. I'm wondering if they will notify applicants about acceptance prior to the Traditional start date in January.

Thanks! Same to you too!! From the other forums I've read it looks like applicants started finding out in October and interviews were done about 2-3 weeks after submitting an application. It seems to me like Baylor nursing is very put together and the response is quick. We shall see lol!

Hey guys, I'm currently applying to the traditional BSN program this may 2018.

Have taken a majority of my pre-reqs at Collin Community College. Have almost all of them done besides World Religions, Bible based Religion, and General Chem. All of which I plan to knock out this summer/fall 18.

Also cheap online option to take the bible based religion class is at West Texas A&M online. The lady @ Baylor suggested that during my tour of the campus.

Current GPA 3.8

Science GPA 4.0

Hesi: Taking it May 19th. ( pushing it with the late HESI date but didnt want to take it in the middle of this semester and I emailed Baylor and they said it was fine. Just email them my scores immediately. Have already applied on CAS.)

Also applying to UTA's program.

I'm applying to the fastbacc!

HESI: 97.5

Overall: 3.7ish?

It's the only place I'm applying- so I hope to get in!

Anyone know how long it takes for transcripts to enter the NursingCAS? A month?

I did too! I have the same pre-reqs left, but I don't think I will be able to complete them in time.

Hi all!

I'm applying for the Fast-Bacc Spring 2019 cohort. My GPA's are as follows:

Science is a 3.25

Pre-Req is 3.34

Degree 3.43

HESI 95%

I've completed all my pre-reqs as of now. Obviously a little stressed after seeing everyone else's 4.0 GPAs (y'all are rockstars). I'm hoping they take into account where I went to school as well as my rigorous work schedule while taking my pre-reqs. Does anyone else share my concerns?

Hi all! Did any of you end up getting accepted into the traditional program at Baylor? I'm curious what your admission stats are like if you were. I'm applying to UTA's program in January but considering waiting the extra 6 months to start just so I could attend Baylor instead.
