APPLYING TO JTCC NURSING Fall 17

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello, I am currently trying to get my ducks in a row to apply to the nursing program at John Tyler Comm. College! I just wanted some advice or helpful hints that could help with the application process! Do they basically average all your grades from the pre req. courses they require or all courses taken? Are spots given first off the basis of the TEAS test? Thanks!

I read on the site you will be ranked according to TEAS score. Cant answer anymore than that. I too am applying and am so nervous.

Okay thank you good luck to you! I'm hoping my if I score very high on TEAS then they would overlook that my GPA is not as competitive!

I applied for spring 2017- I have word that your TEAS is more important than your GPA. You should try to score no lower than an 80 on it. They supposedly look at your national percentile rank and one professor said that they don't typically select anyone under an 82%... focus on the TEAS!!!! if you score in the nineties I would say don't worry about it!

I am pretty sure though that you shouldn't have c or below and more like at least a B in your prereqs..

Okay thank you so much for the info I planned on just scoring on high as possible on the test! Good luck to you!

I am prepping to apply for Fall 2017 now, I wasnt aware I was eligible to apply with my final pre-reqs being taken in the Spring. Now that I know i'm trying to finish everything up. I know the online information session is under construction. Apparently it wont be available til after January according to the nursing director.

Anyone else hear about this?

Hi there! Any updates on the scores that were/were not accepted? I'm freaing out a bit, as I didn't score as high as I would've liked.
