New Grad Starting on an Oncology Floor

  1. 0 Hi everyone,

I am a new grad who is going to be starting on a gyn/oncology floor in a few weeks. I have worked on the floor as a student, but I am starting to get nervous about working there as a nurse! Any suggestions or words of wisdom to make the transition into being a new grad a bit easier? Thanks

my best advice would be if you are administering chemo to always wear your ppe.. and don't be to hard on yourself! i started as a new grad into peds onc took me about 9 months to really be comfortable in my role. good luck !!!!
