Do you need a masters to be an oncology nurse?

by kimby81

Do you need a masters degree to become an oncology nurse or can you just have your bachlors? I am thinking of going into nursing school and would like to go into oncology, but this is a second career for me so I will only be getting my bachelor's degree probably. I was reading an article that said you need your masters.

Thanks!!

no, in the practice I work in we are all RNs, some with BSN, some diploma, and some associate degrees. Many of us do have our OCN certification through ONS.
